Join us for a challenging, fast and fun swim beneath the span of NYC’s beloved Brooklyn Bridge.
With the stunning backdrop of lower Manhattan on your left, and the reknowned Brooklyn waterfront on your right, you will make your way north through one of the busiest and most dangerous pieces of water in all of NYC en route to the neo-gothic span that connects the two boroughs.
You will have your own kayak escort as you tackle this challenging route – and an in water photo opp with arguably the best view in all of NYC upon completion of this epic adventure.

The purpose of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse is to promote human-powered boating in Brooklyn Bridge Park and safe public recreational access to the East River and New York Harbor; to provide opportunities for all New York residents and other Brooklyn Bridge Park visitors to participate in human-powered boating, at no or minimal cost; and to promote environmentally sound policies that will be conducive to human-powered boating in the East River and New York Harbor.
One of the ways we provide safe recreational access to the East River is by supporting swimmers in URBANSWIM events. As a swimmer participating in their events, you are contributing to making our free community based programming possible.
